100- day 81

Did a false eyelashes doodle today, I did the drawing pretty fast and I'm happy with the outcome but I'm not a big fan of false lashes though they are annoying.

I did a eye drawing based on the movie poster, I haven't seen the film but I really like the cover and the way the hand comes out of it, very unrealistic but realistically drawn so I just copied it off the internet.

Today I have been working on my fmp which is based on beauty so I have been looking into makeup therefore I did this doodle in response to that with eyeliner and mascara.

FMP- beauty

Today I did more work for my major project; I made some print with paint thinner to experiment with the idea of makeup and applying too much makeup can make you look bad. But my main idea for these prints was to show the emphasis on the red lipstick and heavy eye makeup done on the fashion models. I liked the outcome of these prints and want to create more because the represent what I wanted to show.

Today's eye doodled is based on a anime eye,this idea spurred when I did the Barbie eye drawing, so basically I just wanted to experiment with different 'fake/unreal' eyes, or in other words more illustrative eyes.

Social enterprise

In the afternoon session today we held a group meeting for our social enterprise project in which we dicussed the layout of the project, the roles and also started to do some research on the fundings we can get. I am the team leader of the project so I will be managing most of the work and ensuring it is completed. Other memebers of the group also have assigned roles and alongside aour designated roles we all have to do the work/research for each section.

Self promotion

Today I started looking more into the self promotion project, I looked on the behance website and searched tags such as 'fine artist promotion' 'sketch business cards' etc. This is because I want to look into progressing my style and then reflecting that in my promotional designs.

Todays doodle is based on an old drawing i did which got quite abit of likes on instagram. I just enjoyed doing that angle so i did it again and if i am honest i prefer my first attempt so in other words its true that you can never make the same thing again.

Okayy i have to do yesterdays post today but i did the eye doodle yesterday. The main reason for doing a rather annoyed looking eye (which is shown from the expression) is because my phone crashed yesterday so i was abit mad.

todays doodle is based on the barbie eye, in todays society we see a lot of girls trying to imitate or achieve the barbie look, whether that is in size or clothing or even makeup; so just a quick doodle based on that.

visual communication

continued to do some more research on visual communications project, focusing mostly on the propaganda genre. I looked at some websites with generic information about propaganda and began to analyse some propaganda advetisments.

ahhhh no eyeball!! just experimenting with different ideas, this was another quick one but I like the very weird feel that the end result has.

FMP- beauty

today I made a start on my fmp with some basic research on the definition of beauty. I also looked through some lectures given by Mark based on the history of beauty within art.

just another quick one today, too tired so I did this quick one in 5 mins. its nothing too creative or detailed but its fine for a quick doodle.

self promotion and social enterprise

today we got two new briefs which are self promotion and social enterprise.  we did some mind mapping for both projects today just to get some ideas going. I need to do some research for self promotion brief however we did a little more detailed work for the social enterprise project.  we decided to work in a group of four, within the group we are all fine artists but with different disciplines, we made some basic plans of what issue we will tackle, our two main ideas are: murals to make the environment more colorful and lively and raising awareness about social issues with teenagers e.g drugs, smoking, teenage pregnancy etc. our second idea is similar but using recycled materials to make wind chimes, colourful paintings, dream catcher treas etc. basically making a happier environment.

just a standard mans eye drawing today, nothing too creative but its always a boost drawing the simple eye and boosting my confidence.

I did a little clock inside the eye today, I based this on a drawing I saw on instagram but changed it a little to make it my own. happy with the outcome but can't wait to finish this project now.

an old eye drawing today, in my previous old eye I enjoyed doing the wrinkles so I did another one and I did enjoy this too.

I did a bruised eye for today's doodle, it was a really quick one and I used reference from the internet. I did find it a little difficult to portray the bruises without any colour but I managed to achieve a good end result.

just a quick one today, made this one up wasn't too challenging because I have done these type of doodles before. I must say I'm getting faster at these doodles.

different angle today, nothing too creative but I seen this on instagram so decided to make my own version of it. I'm happy with the outcome.

FMP

I have already started planning my ideas for my FMP so today I have written my project proposal explaining my ideas and how I will achieve them

did an easier angle today because I was slightly off put by yesterdays doodle. doing doodles like this always boost my confidence although it may seem too safe and easy for me and not challenging enough.

tried another angle, but I'm not too happy with this because the proportions look odd, this might be because I am too used to drawing the standard straight angle.

attempted a little 3d doodle today, the paper making the 3d element. I based this on a previous eye doodle I did but for sure improved the detail.

hey hey smokey eye today, just played on the idea of the trendy makeup style - smokey eye! I like the outcome because it looks really interesting,  I based this on a photo I seen online.

I love drawing this angle of eyes, its so fun I want to do more doodles in this angle because the emphasis is on the eye lashes.

freckles are beautiful, so just a quick re-make of a drawing I did before the 100 project started. I like the outcome.

I did a coloured background today, created with watercolours, I wanted to add some colour to create a different style. I then drew on top with pencil,  I think it looks good because it is different to the other eye doodles.

today I didn't draw anything creative just a standard eye drawing from my mind, did it free hand and without reference so im happy with this one but I should perhaps start looking at some more creative and/or symbolic eye drawings.

did a tired  looking doodle today, haven't got much to reflect on today other than the fact I'm getting fasterat these doodles which makes me happy I guess.

I did a magnifying glass today, just wanted to experiment with reflection and glass, I like this quick doodle because I only spent about 7-8 minutes on it but the result if alright. I want to do more work with reflection.

very extravagant eye makeup for todays doodle, again I did the mistake of drawing too small but the eyeliner makes up the space.  I like this angle to draw its very interesting.

I did a cool experiment today of a symmetrical eye, its so weird and trippy but I really like the outcome because its very unique and that's what an eye looks like when its symmetrical. 

BP final piece

today I did some more work on the final piece bringing it to an end, I did tje finer details like the glasses and more detail on the facial hair as well as the eyes. I did the t shirt which was challenging because of the patterns but I think I did a good job of it. I think it is pretty much finished now will add the final touches after some feedback from my tutor.

todays doodle was a quick one of a lace net over the eye. I ain't very happy with the outcome but considering the time I spent (10mins) on it I think it is good enough.

todays doodle is a dilated pupil eye, scientifically if you like someone or see something attractive then your pupils dilate for a small period of time, maybe seconds. so I did this quick doodle based on that fact.

controversial advertising

did some more work on my controversial advertising today, mainly the presentation and notes about the brands. I also did some work on the BP project looking at some artists, and finally some quick experiments based on Tracey Emins work.
